A trail for cycling and walking of 53km, it is built west of Ballarat on an old railway line. Old gold mining sites, wetlands for birds, pastoral views and a ride on the Nimons Trestle Bridge, a restored wooden bridge, highlight the trail.
Capital City Trail
Ride around the inner area of Melbourne on a 30km loop that is free of cars. Views of landmarks abound, such as the Melborurne Zoo, Como Historic House and Garden, and the Melbourne Aquarium.
Coast to Crater Rail Trail
Also known as the Camperdown-Tiboon Rail Trail, this ride offers scenic vistas of rich farmland, bush and a ride on the Curdies Trestle Bridge. The volcanic plains of Corangamite are also a unique part of the ride.
