Date Sunday 11th October 2009 Time 7.00am Start & Finish Doveton Street, Ballarat Distance Short Course -70km. Long Course – 150km Entries Now Closed Course Starting in Ballarat the course travels through Creswick, Daylesford, Trentham and Glenlyon before travelling back through Daylesford and Creswick and finishing back in Ballarat. Format This is a recreational ride. It is not a race.

In depth
Traffic Safety

Qualified Traffic Controllers and Event Marshals will assist with traffic management.

Motorbike marshals will patrol the course assisting with safety and traffic control

All participants are required to comply with Victorian road rules.

Roads will be open to traffic as normal, road closures will not be in place.
On Course Support

Mechanical support will provided by the SRAM Neutral Ride Support program. This features the same premier Australian race mechanics that provide the SRAM Neutral Race Support at some of Australia's leading cycling races. You will be given the ProTour treatment and receive mobile tech support. So whether you puncture, break a chain or generally need your gears tweaked you can guarantee you will be in fantastic hands.

First Aid will be provided by a team of qualified medical professionals who will follow the ride to ensure a rapid response in the case of an emergency.

Both distance options will feature a lead car alerting motorists of approaching cyclists and a Sag Wagon to assist any riders unable to complete the course
Refreshment Stops

Participants will have access to a number of refreshments stops throughout the event. Riders will be provided with fresh drinking water, fruit, lollies and fruit cake designed to boost energy levels ready for the remainder of the event. Toilet facilities will also be located at these stops.
